Monthly Foodie Favourites

I’ve decided to start a new little feature on my blog. A simple monthly post to highlight some of my favourite foodie finds from that month. This will include items from my weekly shop, meals that I’ve made at home, as well as a few faves from eating out! It will pretty much be a summary of everything you see on my Instagram.

Banana Loaf

Let’s begin “February Foodie Favourites” with my new obsession with baking. I’ve been using this Mary Berry recipe to make banana loaf and it’s so simple!

I love banana loaf – it sweet enough and makes the perfect snack to go with a cup of tea after work.

Butter Chilli Prawns

I’ve made these a few times now and I think these will be on the weekly meal plan for a little while now. David loves them and he’s not usually a fan of prawns. They are so delicious. We like them with a kick but you can totally adapt the heat levels to your own requirements. Click the link below if you want to give it a go.

Wilson Street Pantry

I love Wilson street pantry. I also love that since moving to my new flat I live even closer. I am yet to post a full review of this place – although I have plenty of pictures from previous visits. However I feel I need to visit again with the proper intention of doing a review. Watch this space.

Wilson Street Pantry makes this months favourites simply for their coffee. I believe they use paper cup coffee so they are of course due credit too. Every single soy mocha I have had from Wilson Street Pantry has been perfect. Rich, silky and luxurious. I appreciated this one in particular because it was a reason to escape my flat during the beast from the east.

Quite a short favourites post this month but I’m hoping with this idea in more I will be able to plan more for upcoming posts! Keep an eye out for the next one. In the mean time make sure you are following me on Instagram and Twitter – @thefoodlife_GLA

Thanks for reading,
